After what has been a very very busy 12 months we have now spent well over £120,000 on the Project with the vast majority of the money coming from donations and fundraising. We have not received one penny from the FA or the Football Foundation to upgrade the pitches, car park or the Pavilion which is of course very disappointing given the fact we will be providing football to over 5o teams and 700+ players.
We are now unfortunately in a position where funds have run dry with us part finished. The cafe and some of the toilets plus the seating area have been completed to make it possible for us to open at weekends but we are in need of a little more financial help to enable us to finish.
Obviously with the added facilities we now have there are added costs involved and new streams for the club are being investigated. The terms of the Highmoor lease restrict us slightly in what we can do but we are hoping to put a plan in place to further safeguard the future of the club. The club currently costs around £120,000 a year with the main costs listed below.
Winter training £40,000
Highmoor pitches £10,000 bearing in mind all the grass cutting is done voluntarily
Highmoor Rent and utilities £10,000
Kits Trophies and Equipment £17,000
Pitch and Refs Fees £23,000
Coaching, Courses and CRCs £15,000
Current income from all sources including subs, donations and fundraising is predicted to be around £100,000 for the 2019/20 season. This is a shortfall of approximately £20,000. We expected to have a shortfall but the exact number we are still uncertain. An EGM will be held in April to decide on and increase in subscriptions but we will also be looking into various other funding streams.
If anyone is in a position to help us out that little bit more to help us get a few more rooms finished then pleas feel free to continue to use the kink below to donate or get in touch with the club via the contact link on our website. The support from everyone has been amazing and very much appreciated but it would be lovely to get things finished before the Presentation Day in June.
