Clitheroe Wolves were the lucky winners of an invitation to be involved in the parade prior to the Community Shield between Manchester City and Arsenal 2014.
This was due to the main club Sponsor McDonalds and restaurant manager Karen Howard.
Having almost 300 boys and girls registered in the club for the 2014-15 season made the decision on which players were chosen, with only 14 allowed, very difficult.
However the boys chosen had the experience of a lifetime. Coaches Ross Hibbert and Andrew Pritchard accompanied the boys from various age groups from under 9 to under 13 around the pitch both in the rehearsal and prior to kick off. Other coaches, parents and siblings including some other members of teams also made the trip and received complimentary tickets.
The trip was made possible by the fantastic support received from Clitheroe McDonalds in the last 12 months. The kits for the day were sponsored by Nedermans and Capita ensuring the Wolves members were the smartest in the parade. Thanks to Hodsons coaches for proving the transport to Wembley Stadium.
